Beginner Salsa from Zero (with Live Percussion) image

Learn salsa dancing from Vincent and meet new people with Roots of Salsa, right here in Ballston! If you are a beginner, with no experience, this class is FOR YOU and designed to start you on your salsa dancing journey via four Tuesdays. We assume you are starting from absolute zero and provide an immersive and friendly learning environment.

There is no experience needed, and no partner needed (most people come to class without a partner and we rotate). We start with the basics of salsa taught in "On2" timing, as popularized in Puerto Rico and New York, and emphasizing its Cuban roots along the way. Don't worry, all timing and technique are taught from scratch, assuming the student is starting from zero.

Every class is taught with live percussion. Vincent plays congas while he teaches, so you learn to hear and feel the music! A truly immersive experience.
